Sophie's mother followed her father, Nathaniel out into the wilderness around Marquette when Sophie was eight years old. She grew up running around the cliffs of Hogback. She believes strongly that her father is a fallen angel who came down from Heaven, in spite of Nathaniel's insistence that he was born on Earth.

History
Nathaniel was eager to be a father when Sophie was born, but lost interest by the time she was eight years old. He abandoned her and her mother, Talia, in Marquette to return to the nefilim resistance. Talia and Sophie followed him a few months later, determined to remain in his life.
