The Ichilaris
The Ichilaris,the Sanctum of the Sun in common, is the largest and most famous monastery in the world. Belonging to a group of devoted elves the it sits at the top of the tallest mountain in the known world, Skybreaker Peak. Here the elves have devoteed themselves to making sure the sun rises and sets each day as it should. They achieve this by waking before the sun and beckoning Atar, God of Divine Light to rise from his slumber and carry the sun across the sky. The 5,474 ft climb towards the sanctum in notoriously deadly. Anyone brave or foolish enough to make the journey must be prepared to fend of the vicious predators and the biting cold. However, legends claims that the elves hold a great deal of knowledge given to them by Atar, God of Divine Light and Yaris, God of Knowledge as reward for their dutiful service. How easily it would be to convince them to share this knowledge it unknown.
Purpose / Function
The monastary was built some time in the early periods of the world in order to ensure that that Atar always would rise and bring the sun across the sky, giving life to the deiziens of the world.
