Age of Apocalypse

The Age of Apocalypse is the most recent period of history for Amanor, beginning at year 2502. Articles are divided into two categories: those with the tag #AoA and those without.   For example, there are two articles about the goddess Louhi -- one for the Age of Apocalypse (Louhi) and one for before (Loviatar). This division of articles is made so as to make browsing pre-apocalypse content easier. For the time being, all AoA-tagged content will be listed in the Age of Apocalypse category.   The Age of Apocalypse is the end-result of a long D&D-campaign -- the first campaign that was ever played in Amanor, in fact. It was a lovecraftian adventure with many branching paths and many villains lurking in the shadows. Unfortunately the PCs ignored Louhi as a threat until the very late stages of the campaign, at which point they were poorly prepared to thwart her plans. The campaign ended with the good guys effectively losing. Louhi was allowed to reincarnate with barely a single wrench having been thrown into the gears of her grand schemes.   The Age of Apocalypse is sure to affect Amanor in profound ways. Gods will be slain, worlds will be destroyed, civilizations will fall, and the cosmic laws of existence will be changed. This will, unfortunately, render much of already accomplished worldbuilding unusable in campaigns set during the age or after it. Regardless, we intend to play not only such campaigns but also ones set into the past -- before the year 2502.

Initial Active Setting

Most of the worldbuilding that is done is focused on the world of Amanor (a.k.a. Midgard) and its central continent of The Heartlands.
