Raijin Character in Amanor | World Anvil

Raijin

The South Wind, The Oathbinder; God of honor and ocean storms

Raijin is a Kushani deity. He is the empyreal lord of thunder, ocean storms and the afterlife. He also represents the kushani traditions of honor, bloodbound oaths, and courageous death in battle. Raijin protects the souls of any Kushani that die at sea or give their lives for an honorable cause and he brings his thundering vengeance upon those that break the age-old codes of Kushani honor.   Some believe that in centuries past Raijin was a Kushani warrior that suffered a cowardly betrayal. He become a revenant after dying in a doomed battle at sea and he undertook the trials of the Empyreals after fulfilling his vengeance. Others believe him to be the divine offspring of Amaterasu and Kotoamatsukami.
