The East Wind, the Eternal Empress of Kushan; goddess of governance and compassion

Amaterasu is a Kushani deity and wife of Kotoamatsukami. She is the empyreal god of governance and compassion, chosen for the role by the Empyreal Gods following the death of the god Gulveig. Light and the sun are among her domains.
In her mortal life Amaterasu was the founding empress of the nation of Kushan and a champion of the sun goddess Iona. She governed the fledgling empire with unparalleled wisdom and grace, ushering forth a golden age for her people. Following her death, Amaterasu overcame the trials of the empyreals together with her husband and they were both elevated to godhood. In her honor, the nation of Kushan reveres the sun to this day, and the dynasty of Sun Emperors and Empresses has continued unbroken for millenia.
