Lodge

Lodges are private enterprises in Ellondoth that provide and facilitate martial training to their members. Ellondoth does not have an organized military and thus lodges are the only option for high elves that wish to become warriors. Some, however, join lodges simply to take up a new hobby such as archery.
Most high elves that have a membership in a lodge are Corellians due to their circle holding athleticism and physical capability in a high regard.

Hunters

Each lodge is arranged into a meritocratical hierarchy with various titles and positions within. The lowest ranks are for casual members, i.e. athletes and hobbyists. The higher ranks are for such members that choose to undertake true warrior training, dedicating their lives to the pursuit of martial perfection.
Warriors trained by lodges are called hunters. All hunters go through extensive martial training and physical conditioning, broadening their skills over many centuries. They are each a master of many forms of combat which makes them exceptionally flexible fighters. Moreover, many hunters are spellcasters. In battle the many talents of Ellondothan hunters are realized in brutal effect, for every hunter is equipped with only the mightiest armaments -- weavecrafted by skilled artisans from the most potent of materials and enchanted with runemagic.
It must be noted that traditional hunting, i.e. the violent pursuit of animals and game for natural materials or sport, is banned across Ellondoth due to the strongly enviromentalist policies enacted by all of its circles. Ellondothan hunters are thus hunters in name only.
Ellondoth does not war with other nations, and thus even professional soldiers rarely see actual combat. Indeed, the only chance a hunter has to engage in real fighting are the sporadic Wild Hunts. Ellondothan hunters are often highly trained but poorly experienced. Neither do any high-ranking hunters, i.e. the leaders of lodges, have practical experience with large-scale warfare and military strategy.
