0.1 - A Test of Will Report
General Summary
Year 299, Flora Cycle, Day 14
Novice hunters Bord, Cord, and Jord return early morning from a hunting trip. Heavily injured. Bord is dead.
Enforcer veteran Hearty Snowflake decides to get a head-start on the bounty that will inevitably be posted. Recruits hunter Valgyr to help.
On their way out of town, they run into local Paritet representative Rogan Gritstone, who makes an underhanded comment about Hearty's daughter potentiality being recruited into Paritet to balance magic.
The duo follow evident tracks for approximately 3 hours.
They fight 3 dust mephits and an air elemental. The fight takes place in a ring of stripped forest that the wind has ripped away.
Elementals speak only in angry words expressing raw emotions, mainly anger and pain.
Fight ends. Valgyr investigates the epicenter. He feels how the space at the center is...queasy. He starts to hear whispers but they stop as he tries to focus in on them.
Valgyr looks around and sees a spectral figure leaning against Hearty. He alerts Hearty but Hearty is unaware of anything. The figure immediately disappears.
They return to town. Bounty money will be ready tomorrow. Valgyr parts ways with Hearty at Hearty's house. Valgyr continues his way through town to his house.
Valgyr discovers in the morning that Hearty came home to a missing daughter. While they were gone, Rogan had taken Hearty's daughter and a few others to Hvithavon to transport them for duty with Paritet.
