To house the king and the tribal families and to provide a place for the court to meet judgments to be made.

Architecture

White limestone forms the buildings fifteen family houses make up the outer section of the palace in a ring around it. each decorated with tiles and with small windows of stained glass. various outbuilding and pools make up the inner ring the palace rises in the center with great domed buildings with elaborate tiling. several family-style compounds meet together to form the great palace and the center courtyard is where the court meets. libraries ballrooms and numerous fountains and decorative rooms. numerous chambers offer places for courtier to meet and work. elaborate gardens fill the courtyards.
