Characterized by its verdant parks and orchards (fruits of all kinds: apples, grapes, oranges, etc.)  The geographic area (nestled relatively near the emerald mountains, by the western river, and just south of the towering timberland) is ripe for creating soil and weather conditions that lend to great harvests.
Green is everywhere, moss and vines grow up the side of many buildings, but are trimmed and well-maintained. Flower patches are frequent in and around the village.
Relative harmony in race relations (a lot of both Elven and Human heritage, given this is positioned alongside the border of Zizaddian Republic).
Most citizens of this town live in apprecation of Alandra, the Goddess of the sun and agriculture, for blessing them with bountiful harvests.

One of the winery owners and most wealthy of the citizens could be a villain in disguise. 
This is the town where Portia goes missing from -> tie it into a crime spree?
