Personal history
Conan Meriadoc was a Albian (Now the Kingdom of Logres ) chieftain during the collapse of the Empire of Tarif. Following the Tear of the Great Veil, he allied with his political rival, Imperial General Magnus Maximus, launching an invasion of the Armorican Peninsula. While Magnus marched southwards, Conan seized control of what is now Letha, executing the local Imperial governor and his followers. He ordered a slaughter of the native men, replacing them with his own soldiers. Fearing that the magik of Faerie would spread further, he also ordered the tongues of all native women cut out to prevent them from calling on the Sidhe or Re Vihan for assistance or using name magik against the invaders. This gave the region its Albian moniker of Bro Llydaw, the Half Silent Lands.
Appointed King of the region, which he named Dumnonia, Conan solidified his power, moving swiftly against rival tribes or Imperial holdouts. When Maximus was defeated, Conan held his position. The last claims of Imperial power were swept away.

Morality & Philosophy
Entitled and ruthless, Conan dreamt of conquering a realm of his own. When the time came, he carried it out with brutal efficiency, securing a foothold on the continent. During his life, he feared no man, but became increasingly superstitious and paranoid about the Fae. While not a follower of the Southern Faith, his emperor was and the two shared a view that contact with the Otherworld and magik was heretical and must be purged at all costs.
