Colin Clout (a.k.a. Bard of the Brekilien)

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Colin Clout was a Teuz shepherd living in the Landes be Lanvaux during the campaigns of Conomor the Cursed and the Alliance of the Brekilien. Gifted with a talent for Binioù and storytelling, Clout serves as one of the primary sources chronicling the War of the Brekilien. Clout became the Bard of Gwened, surviving the Bloodmoon and continuing in the role after the war.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Colin Clout is known for his series of partially contemporaneous bardic tales chronicling the War of the Brekilien, collected in the well known work Songs of the Forest War, supplemented by later songs detailing events Clout was not present for, including the rise of Conomor, the last stand of Roland of Gwitreg, and the storming of Toraigh castle by Muldumarec Artegall.   Clout's body of work is well known in Alvez, but Songs of the Forest War, remains his magnum opus. His other major work, The Blatant Beast, details the life of the Eladan Knight Calidore, a member of the Alliance, his failed quest to slay the eponymous monster, and his death during the Battle of Keremma Dunes. This last episode, a tragic and sympathetic telling of his friend's death, was banned by the Southern Church and is omitted from many retellings outside of Letha and Akitania.
