The grandson of Gradlon Mwar, Aldroenus was the last king to claim true dominion over Great Kernev, but already the losses under his father Salomon I were being felt. During his reign, all of Great Kernev's holdings in Albia would be lost to the Sidhe and Fomorians.
When the representatives of the Albian territories came to beg for aid, Aldroenus sent only his brother and a token force, unwilling to commit more to the failing prospect of holding the territories. A plague strikes the Kerneved beachhead in the port city of Caer Gloui and Rí ruirech Vortigern quickly dispatched the rest, ending the continental attempt to retake the islands.
