Alan III
Dug Alan , III
Duke Alan of the House of Naoned (892-894)
Reign
Alan III's reign was short lived, one of the cycle of rulers who rose and fell during The Poisoner's Game.
Alan's Uncle, Dug Hoel I seized control with the backing of Anjev, but was poisioned by Dug Konan "The Crooked" I, clearing the ascension of his father, Dug Guerech I. Guerech was captured by his enemy, Jafrez of Anjev, while the Princeling and his mother Aremburga constructed a fortress at Ancenis. Guerech was released by Jafrez after a pledge of fealty, but was poisoned during his welcoming feast in Naoned, on Konan's orders. Alan suddenly found himself both Kont of Naoned and Dug of Letha. His reign was defined by open warfare between Naoned and Roazhon, ending two years into his reign when he was murdered by his Archperfect, Orscand de Gwened, again on Konan's orders.
