Cögálfar

The Cögálfar are an elven race who inhabit the western desert region of Ecíos, in a land called Gildolor. They are the strongest and fiercest of the elves, often feared, they are also the decendants of the Tuatha hero who's lineage was blessed with great warriors.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are anthropomorphic, with two arms, two legs and an endoskeleton. They have very faint hair covering their body, with much more on their heads.

Males are often larger and stronger than females; however, females are more flexible and have stronger immune systems since they bear children.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce as most mammals do, with an 8 month gestation period.

Growth Rate & Stages

They reach adolescence within twelve to fourteen years and adulthood within eighteen to twenty.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are omnivores.

Facial characteristics

They have elegant human features, with pointed ears and sharp brows. Their eyes range from blues to greens and oranges.

History

When the elven races diverged, the Cögálfar travelled west to inhabit the rest of the desert of Ecíos. Blessed with great warriors they called themselves War Elves, and the new land they settled they called Dead Lands. The Cögálfar found themselves caught between mostly peaceful neighbours, with the exception of some conflict against the northern Dvergr and southern Dökkálfar, ultimately this lead them to seek out wars all across Domus which they could join. However, it was later discovered that the great canyon in the middle of the desert allowed the Makhai to easily traverse from Ersetu through to Domus, seeking war the Cögálfar pledged themselves as the guards of the canyon.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

They are feared and respected as being some of the greatest warriors in all of Domus; however, this has also lead many to challenge them in martial superiority.

They tend to have broad shoulders and little fat deposits that give them strong chiselled physiques.

Body Tint, Colouring and Marking

While most tend to be a fairly pale beige, they can be a darker tan colour, scarring and callouses also show as red or purple. Their hair also ranges from blonde to brunette and even black.
