Erlking

The Erlkings are an elven race who inhabit a central northern taiga region of Ecíos, in a land called Valadriand. They are noble and powerful elves, yet they can simultaneously appear savage and barabric, they are also the decendants of the Tuatha hero who's lineage was blessed with royalty.

Basic Information

Anatomy

They are anthropomorphic, with two arms, two legs and an endoskeleton. They have very faint hair covering their body, with much more on their heads.

Biological Traits

Males are often larger and stronger than females; however, females are more flexible and have stronger immune systems since they bear children.

Genetics and Reproduction

They reproduce as most mammals do, with an 8 month gestation period.

Growth Rate & Stages

They reach adolescence within twelve to fourteen years and adulthood within eighteen to twenty.

Dietary Needs and Habits

They are omnivores and require a balanced diet of meat and plants.

Facial characteristics

They have elegant human features, with pointed ears and sharp brows. Their eyes are fairly light, ranging from whites to golds.

History

When the elven races diverged, the Erlkings travelled north to claim the central taiga and northern marshlands of Ecíos. Blessed with royalty they called themselves Elf Kings. Unlike the other elves, their blessing was not as clear, beyond drastic physical changes they're chnages were unclear for many generations. They now know that they are kings and queens of their own lives, and so the land they settled they called Land of the Free Monarchs. The Erlkings built grand cities yet they never created kingdoms, each individual is responsible for themselves, there is no rule, and justice and crime is war. Despite their chosen way of life, there is very little anarchy within their land, an achievement only they could accomplish.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

They keep to themselves, remaining mysterious to the other mortal races, they also care little for the ways of others; however, they don't hold any animosity against them.

They have grey skin, which can vary from a silver to almost black, they're also covered in patterns and lines that can vary from almost white to platinum. Their hair shares the same colouration as their skin.
