The Cut often have similar names to dragonborns, being classical draconic names, but some have names fitting to the places they live, depending on the cultural pride their parents have. The strong focus on family names that dragonborns have are rare to find among the Cut as they do not follow the same cultural tribe-like mentally of the dragonborns.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
It is common for the Cut to know draconic from their parents, but not all Cut know their own origin language. Cut often adapt to their birthplace and learn their language.
History
During the expansion and conquering of Tyrania by Thornheart, they were faced with the Paraxian dragonborns who were fierce and honorable warriors which were surprisingly adaptive and flexible in their nature, traits Thornheart deeply sought in their servants. They had already conquered the fallen nation of Vacerak, which had given them the "replicants" (later known as the Dragonbloods), but these soldiers were indoctrinated brutes. Originally Thornheart attempted to force their way through the dragonborns with their armies, but a single dragonborn could often take out multiple replicants and they were talented sorcerers which dealt with the incoming magical talent of Thornheart. Captured dragonborn would also never fail to stand up for their nation and information always came at the cost of powerful magical spells. This extreme sense of loyalty and stubbornness was difficult for Thornheart to overcome, but not impossible. They began experimenting with the dragonborns and eventually managed to magically warp captured dragonborns into producing a weaker version which would be known as Baclax in draconic, or more famously known as"The Cut" because of their lack of a tail at birth. These dragonborns were seen as corrupted versions, and with many of these captured and returned dragonborns having gained this curse which affected their offspring, the dragonborns made it so that any captured and cursed members of their race would become "Waorin" or clanless. They and their corrupted offspring would become seen as casualties of this war and with this divergence in their unity, Thornheart managed to enslave the once unwavering dragonborns as the threat of being cursed made them speak and this new generation of Cut would serve them well as slaves and later members of their reign.
Though the curse of the Cut disappeared, their race did not and the term Baclax and Waorin are used by the surviving Paraxian dragonborns to this day to both mark those who came from this curse and to throw out members of their society. Having one's tail cut off in dragonborn culture has become so synonymous with failure and treachery that if a dragonborn has their tail cut off in combat or as part of torture or interrogation by other races, their society will not accept them back, labling them Waorin just as the original cursed dragonborns.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Cut are mostly found in relationships with their own kind, but there are a few exceptions to this. The Cut can only mate and breed with other Cut or dragonborns, but some relationships between the Cut and other races are not unheard even how rare they might be. Relationships between the Cut and dragonborns are almost impossible, because of cultural views on the race, but on a few occasions there have been interspecies relationships between the Cut and dragonborns.
