Jensys was born during a great summer storm. Her mother had just given birth to her before she and her father left for Daharia. Her parents never made it Daharia as a great storm consumed their ship and no survivors were found. Jensys life growing up was hard without her parents, but she had Bezad Zeshil a family friend, advisor, and tutor raise her and run her family business in her stead until she came of age. When Jensys was 12 Bezad had her take the spotlight of the Novshade trading company while he advised her from the sideline. She did surprisingly well and under her control, the trading company doubled their ships by A4 600. When she turned 19 she married Vichorn Novshade and would go on to birth five children over 40 years.
