Personal history
Dain was born in Stonehill too a couple of farmers. His parents were not the fighting type, but Dain quickly learned it was what he was best at. Stonehill was under the kingdom of Revendell and guarded by Reven guards. He wanted to join them, but could never afford the journey to Revendell and he did not want to leave his family for the long time it would take to become a guard. Instead, he joined the guards on some missions and were paid mission to mission. He mostly worked with Captain Garnom Ironfist who became like a mentor to him.
In A4 648 he had left for some days to hunt, but when he came home he found Stonehill in ruin. The entire town had been destroyed and only a few buildings were standing. He looked around for corpses but could not find his family or any of his friends. He was enraged and confused about what could have done this. He decided to leave as he was scared that what had done it would come back. He later learned it was the combined effort of the purple night and a dragon that had caused the ruin of Stonehill. In Evlora he saw a flyer for a guard position at a new settlement. This inspired him and gave him purpose as he swore another town would not be destroyed if he had anything to say about it.
