Spheres of Harvest

Spheres of Harvest are Magitech devices used by the more affluent farming communities of Ysrailore - namely by the denizens of Heartspire - that can drastically increase the properties of a specific "keyed" plant, be that crop yields, growth speed, or plant hardiness, or any two of those three. It should be noted that while these devices are commonplace in some communities, they require constant Maijurous to function, and if they stop functioning for even a moment it could ruin the entire field connected to that specific Sphere. And while called spheres, the objects do not need to be spherical in shape.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Spheres of Harvest will always have a core of Maijurium at their center, allowing them to be recharged at will by focusing and siphoning one's own Maijurous into it. The sphere then proceeds to cast all manner of spells on the field within its range depending on its function.

These devices can range in price depending on range, function, and efficiency, and can cost anywhere between 25 Sanctums to 1,000 Sanctums each.

Raw materials & Components

These Magitech devices require a core of Maijurium surrounded by a typically magically negative sheath, which magnetically sticks to the positive core. The sheath is usually split into parts to allow for ease of enchanting with different functions. As such - if one possesses the proper materials - construction can be as simple as sticking a Maijurium core inside a block of wood, for instance.
