Skjegg

The ancient city of Skjegg was built into the side of Mount Skjegg by the first Dwarves to have landed on Smørbrød. The dwarves sailed down what came to be known the River of the First Lords, and the first battle of the The Great War of Vold took place. The river has now allowed Skjegg to become a centre of commerce and trade for Vold, and thus attracts races from all around The Order's territories, and beyond.

Demographics

Skjegg is the Dwarvish capital city. Its inhabitants are mainly Mountain Dwarves, their Hill Dwarf cousins although existing in the city tend to be more at home on Morlund in the ancient city of Dvergstad. Gnomes and Drow are amongst the second most prevalent denizens, followed by the other races. As Skjegg is a bustling centre of commerce for Vold, all races of The Order have a presence, and many races from all around Alnheim are seen as well.

The laws of Vold are universal in all of its countries. As another Orcish rebellion is currently underway, there is a ban on all Orcish movement in and out of the city. Some Orcs within Skjegg feel somewhat restrained by this new law, and are beginning an uprising of their own.
