Chapter 1

This chapter consists of an introduction to the Myth of the 7 Forgemasters.
Long ago, ancient divine beings who ruled over the lands strove to bring peace to the world of Alms Furth. This Order of Kings believed that harnessing the power of the Gods and instantiating them in devices of Great Power could bring about peace. They bartered with Gods, Demons, Spirits, Nature, and the Weave of Magic for the power they strove to weild. Together they built the Seven Forges, each linked together through the arcane realms. They obtained powerful magical artifacts used in the making of these forges. This embued their forges with the potential to craft the Great Weapons of power they sought.   For a time this brought peace. The Order of the Flaming Sword was able to cast down Empires of evil, Destroy Powerful Monsterosities, and even take to the Stars. All the while a Dark Betrayer bided their time. They set their schemes and plans in motion. One day after centuries of planning, waiting, and preparing one of the Seven betrayed the others. The Betrayer cast the others into the void and unleashed his powers over death, plunging the world into darkness.

Chapter 2

This chapter covers the events surrounding High King Morgrain and the building of the first forge.
High King Morgrain of the Grandure Dwarves was the first to seek out this Power. King of the Dwarves he sought to end the deaths of his people to the Beholders of the Deep and the Demons that broke loose in the deeper places of the Earth.   "What is a Dwarf if he cannot dig to the bowels of the earth?" He would ask his advisors, to which some replied, "A living Dwarf".   Seeking the Power needed to destroy his enemies of the Deep, High King Morgrain courted favor with Gond, The God of the craft. For years he searched for signs of Gond scouring the ancient Kingdoms of Alms Furth, with little success. He met with a tribe of Dwarves from the Mountains in the Sea. They were expert craftsmen and the High King knew somehow that only Dwarves of this skill could ever tempt Gond into a barter for knowledge. Years he spent learning the Craft of the Forge, until one day the tree that was his labor bore ripe fruit.   In the High Kings own words: "In a dream he came to me, an Towering Ancient Dwarf hammering away at his Anvil. The sparks from the blade he struck turned to gears and clockwork mechanisms with each swing of his mighty hammer.   He eyed me saying, 'What is it you wish of me mortal?'   I replied 'I wish to craft a great weapon to lay waste to the beasts that hunt my people.'   He stood towering over me considering for a time. 'Thy will be done Smithling.' When I awoke the patterns of my first creation spilled out of me, I scribbled the pattern on the wall of my rooms before it faded from my mind, then I set to work."   The King began building weapons of long lost power. The first he made was a Sword of Flame and thus he rightly dubbed the name of his Order.   The second spark of brilliance, a gift from Gond, were plans for a massive forge. It was made with...
The Book falls off partway through this chapter as the pages become staind, the ink long ago bled away.
