Old Hog

History

The Loxodon Ferrymaster of the Triton Ferry Docks. Old Hog grew up among the Shuruh-kai tribes traveling the The Northern Desert. When he discovered the sea he knew he wanted to spend his life on the water. But the sea sickness nearly killed him on his first voyage aboard a merchant vessel. So he wandered for a time before he found the Triton Ferry Docks. Now, 120 years later, he has found he has an apt skill for driving the Young Giant Sea Turtles that pull the Ferries up and down the Stjorm River. With Lady Lake by his side he is always a happy Loxodon.

Description

Old Hog is a 215 years old Loxodon, still prime age for Elephantfolk. Self trained in the ways of the forest and archery and tending to the creatures of the wild. He wears a leather traveling armor with various papers sticking out of the many pockets it has. He carries a bow on his back and a sword with Dwarven runes carved into the hilt. He is constantly puffing on an old stone Pipe of Prompting and mumbling to the images that form out of the smoke. He also carries and ancient dwarvish sword called Niflung's Jabber. He speaks with a ponderous tone and will always offer some wisdom when needed. He carries a Bamboo staff that he taps on the sides of his Giant Sea Turtle Lady Lake with to guide her. He rescued her egg from a tribe of Naga long ago and they have been lifelong companions ever since. She has a large wooden barge built on the back of her shell.
