As a Paladin of Treachery, you can use your Channel Divinity to poison the bonds between your allies, sowing discord with venomous intent. When you use your Channel Divinity, you target one player character within 30 feet. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC (8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the target follows a divinely inspired suggestion you choose, which must involve an interpersonal reaction directed at another player character.
The suggestion must be reasonable, not directly harmful to the target, and limited to social interactions, such as:
- Saying something mean or insulting to another player character.
- Refusing to help or cooperate with another player character for the duration.
- Treating another player character as untrustworthy or suspicious.
- Ignoring or avoiding interaction with another player character.
- Mocking or belittling another player character’s actions or statements.
The target pursues the suggested action to the best of its ability for 1 minute. The effect ends early if the target takes any damage. If the suggested action becomes impossible, the effect also ends. You can use this Channel Divinity option once, and you regain the ability to use it after a short or long rest.
