The Court of the Elders

The only building standing in the shattered northern ruins of Rimestad 
Once, the seat of the city-state's legal system, it was slowly overtaken by the agents of The Seven Lords and twisted the idea of justice and peace, leading to the devastation that left Rimestad to be the abandoned ruin it is today.

Architecture

The imposing building is made of the dark grey stone that most of the ruined city was built with. The front of the court has a huge set of doors made from dark iron, tall enough to allow even the largest of dragons through and was almost always thrown open until the last days of Rimestad. 
Thick columns are set forty feet apart all around the square structure, each decorated with a frieze, these were known as the Triumphs of Justice and were said to show great moments of law and order winning out over evil from the ages of the world.
