Temple to Malar
Architecture
The Temple of Malar presents a formidable and somewhat intimidating presence. It is built as a towering wooden structure, its rough-hewn timbers a testament to both strength and brutality. The entrance is guarded by a heavy wooden door, reinforced with iron bands, hinting at the dangers that lie within and the need to keep the uninitiated out. Overgrown hedges surround the temple, their thorny branches creating a natural barrier and adding to the sense of seclusion. Guard towers stand at strategic points around the perimeter, manned by watchful sentinels ready to defend the temple against intruders and uphold the tenets of Malar, the Beastlord. Inside, the temple's interior is surprisingly scholarly, albeit in a savage way. Piles of scrolls and books line the counter and walls, detailing the lore of the hunt, the anatomy of beasts, and the brutal philosophies of Malar. A large pulpit dominates the center of the hall, serving as a focal point for sermons and rituals that celebrate the primal aspects of nature and the thrill of the hunt.
History
