How RIth Acquired The Belt of Nagard

The Belt of Nagard has long been rumored to be an item of great power. A legendary artifact that was worn by Rith of Clan Nagard to help combat the Cult of Ubok'Yigg. Many theories and rumors exist as to how he came to acquire it and what its purpose is. Some say he smithed it with the various dragon breaths he acquired during his campaigns. Others suggest he stole it from the horde of a Dragon God. Even more, say that Nagard came down from his roost and bestowed it to Rith himself given his acts of righteousness. The latter is the closest, but still inaccurately describes the events that lead Rith to the Belt of Nagard.

At the battle for The Great Elm, having already been weakened by the CUlt of Ubok, the colossal tree was shattered by a foreign skyship. The resulting splintering of the magical conduit ended Rith's life. A shard of the tree was driven through Rith's heart by the explosion. His deeds during his life and the unaccomplished goals brought him face to face with his god Nagard. After tough introspection from his god Rith was ready to accept death much to his party's sadness, but Nagard had different plans for him. Surprisingly the god breathed life back into him, the ancient dragon god also imparted an artifact on Rith. When he awoke on the battlefield he was wearing the Belt of Nagard. Seven empty gem slots around the belt with no idea what they were for, Rith was filled with a new sense of purpose having being rejuvenated by his god.

It is still unknown if Rith ever completed the Belt, or found every gem for it, or even what it might do if it was completed.
