Amberfaene Monthly Parade

Amberfall is the cultural melting of Lothlonde. Many people celebrate their heritage in many ways. The nobles and government of Amberfall have tried to mingle very lightly in their traditions as to not disrupt them. Although, Amberfall has a disproportionate amount of impoverished children. The Open Lord has stepped in and decreed that no matter your religion or cultural background, once a month the city will host a parade around the city to consolidate the birthdays of every child for that particular month. This parade is for every family too poor to celebrate a child's birthday and is widely accepted.

The parade itself consists of carts and makeshift floats designed and themed around that month or season. Only children born that month, their parents, and people who have made celebratory carts can participate in the act of parading. The parade itself winds through the best streets of each quarter in Amberfall as to avoid any potential injuries or nefarious acts. This also serves as a vehicle for impoverished children to see the best sides of Amberfall in hopes of giving them the inspiration to overcome their circumstances and rise through the social ladder. Each parade is different, month to month, year to year, as different participants create themes and floats based on current events and holidays of the month. This means that each child born in a particular month has a unique experience compared to the previous month, or even their month of the previous year.

There is no set limit on the age of any participant, but most children that have been celebrating this their life have shown willingness to step aside as they get older to give way to the next generation. Each child also gets to meet, face to face, with the Open Lord and their small council and exchange a few words of wisdom to help them grow for the next year.
