The Outlaws return to Leann and report back to Lady Sarah. Markus is kidnapped soon after, and a new member joins the group.

The journey from Kamobea to Leann took several days, even flying through the air. On the 1st day of Old Summer, the group arrived back at the city.   The group did first meet with Lady Sarah, she was pleased to see they had survived, and informed them that the Widowmaker and crew had survived as well, having had to make port for repairs after the dragon attack. She did not seem concerned by the lack of treasure, agreeing that the island should be left alone for it's inhabitants and that outsiders have interfered enough with it. With that, she invited them all to enjoy her establishment and that they could eat, drink, and sleep as much as they want. Given that they had been living off of rations and in cramped quarters on Damian's dirigible, the group leapt at the chance. Damian stayed behind and spoke to Lady Sarah privately afterwards.   After the meeting, Julian immediately went back to The Thirsty Tiefling and dropped off the bottle containing Saint Brenedan's soul, wanting to get rid of the thing. He inquired as to if this would make him even with Asmodeus, but the bartender Alabaster merely laughed wistfully, wishing it were that easy.   Jade met with Lady Sarah privately, and had many questions. She expressed that she had heard of Lady Sarah, but on her world, Lady Sarah was merely a powerful cleric, and as far as she knew, didn't own a tavern. Lady Sarah nodded, and after some conversation was able to piece together what had happened: Lady Alexis, who is Lady Sarah's sister, took Jade from their old world, Jannat, into the future, for some reason, Lady Sarah wasn't sure what that was, and explained that her sister liked to be mysterious and generally explained things when they needed to be explained, and not before. Lady Sarah called it "Wizard Time". Jade to her credit, took this all in stride, and accepted that she must wait for further word from Lady Alexis to know what to do.   The following day, the group got together, but Markus was missing. They checked his room, and found his things gone, his bed made, and a note, explaining that he had left to go on a musical tour with the famed bard, Max Ironston. The group asked Lady Sarah about this, and she expressed great concern, as she knew that Max Ironston was not currently on a musical tour. Using her magic, she located Markus on the floating city of Nebasa, which was above a great mountain in the center of Keponarth. Unfortunately, such a place was beyond her power to send them. She explained that Keponarth was a unique place, where the gods and their agents of the outside world had no power. She offered to send them back to Sandport, which was on the coast of Keponarth, and they could make their way from there if they did want to rescue Markus.  The group agreed, but figured they should seek out additional help first.  Before they left, Lady Sarah provided them with a map to Nebasa, and a pair of silver amulets depicting a woman in silver, one for Emily and one for Jade.  She explained that these would allow their powers to work in Keponarth, and that she needed them back once they returned.  She did not explain how they worked.   The group elected to seek out Damian again, thinking he might bend his rule on not bailing them out of every situation because of his friendship with Markus. However, when they got there, they found Damian packing for a trip. He explained that he had his own job that had to be done, but could say no more on the subject. He pointed them in the direction of another alchemist who might be willing to help, a half elf named Valen, who operated their own alchemy business in the city. He then wished them luck and bade them from his shop.   They caught the half-elf up to speed, who seemed to be both an alchemist and a thief, but favored a bow instead of guns, and in the morning, Lady Sarah transported them to Sandpoint.
