Campaign 4, Session 8

Making camp in the woods, the party is attacked by a group of "guards" transporting a prisoner.

That night, making camp in the woods, they witnessed a prison wagon passing by. These "Guards" bore similar markings to the guards of The Thistlefort, but wore nicer plate. The wagon had stopped, searching the woods, and they wound up attacking the group. During the scuffle, the prisoner from the wagon, Jimmy, escaped. The guards were eventually defeated, and Jimmy, a simple man who claimed to be able to do "jobs" and "work", joined their group, reclaiming his "tools" from the guards lockbox. It was evident to most that Jimmy was a thief, despite his attempts to hide it.   The party elected to make camp in the woods as opposed to sleeping next to the Spire. They were awoken by a prison wagon that stopped on the road near their camp. The guards of the prison wagon wore plate armor, with insignias like the guards of Thistlefort. The guards began to search the woods, and wound up attacking the group.   During the action, the prisoner, a man named Jimmy, escaped his confinement and attempted to ride off with the wagon, but was knocked to the ground by one of the guards. Once the guards were defeated, the group exchanged pleasantries with this man, who was clearly a thief despite his coy manner about it, and he agreed to join their group, recovering his "tools" from the guards lockbox. The group proceeded to ride off north with the horse and wagon, and all the valuables of the slain guards.   Treasure obtained
