Iola Vandivel the First
Queen Iola Vandivel
Iola the First was the second Crowned Queen of the Vandivel Dynasty of Alfeari. She grew up with two brothers and loving, intellectual parents, Imolia Vandivel the First and Jermand Tindolen.

Personal history
Because of the period of relative peace in which she grew up, Iola was allowed many freedoms. Her love of horses led her to explore animal husbandry and, by extension, agriculture in general. When she sought out a skilled horse breeder soon after she ascended to the throne, she met Jorkin Kris'nat, an acquaintence of her Uncle Korand's Gan'ji wife's family.
Iola made Jorkin her consort two months later, and their first child was born within the year. Kailin was a rambunctious boy who was killed by an assassin when he was 16 years old.
Their second child, Isidra the Second, was born two years after Kailin. Their second girl, Kaila, was a surprise, born only a few months after her brother died. She became a horse breeder like her father.
Iola died in a fall from a horse in 3420.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Iola created a system of supporting agricultural workers during times of drought and disease. This eventually became the current system of subsidies.
