Jermand married Imolia Vandivel the First. He was her last tutor, and ten years her senior. Imolia kept him on as an advisor as she learned the political role she would have to play, and she leaned on him heavily in her first years as queen, having ascended to the throne at only 20 years of age.
They married only two months before the birth of their first child, Perdan Tindolen, and they had two more children after that, Korand Tindolen and Iola Vandivel the First.
