The Green Stranglers

The Green Stranglers are the second-largest orc tribe of The Horde of the Great Warchief. They live on the western coast of the mainland of Drakthirr. The population of the Green Stranglers is extremely dominated by Orcs, their number being even larger than the number of goblins.

Geography

The territory of the Green Stranglers is located in western Drakthirr. To their east live The Eternal Slayers and to the north The Shade Legion. Those borders aren't well defined, but usually, Bone Lake counts as the most northern point of their territory. The Green Stranglers claim about a third of the Burnt Woods and some of the mountains. Their territory measures about 50.000 square miles, which makes them the second-largest orc tribe. The capital Zrorgukh stands on the western coast.

Climate and Vegetation

The Green Stranglers live in a temperate climate zone. The temperatures reach from 6°C in winters to 30°C in summers. The territory is exposed to a lot of rainfall, however, due to the magic of the orcs, it was weakened especially in the southern regions. The ground can be described as badlands and is very dusty and earthy, often infertile. The flora of the southern half of the territory is very sparse, and only smaller plants like bushes. The northern part is overgrown by a smaller forest. The fauna is adapted to the circumstances of the climate and flora. In the wastelands, only a few animals can be found, especially wild animals like boars and goats, but also predators like wyvern, and various insects.

Society and Politics

The Green Stranglers are a large orc tribe. 1.7 million Orcs and 1.5 million goblins belong to the clan. The number of goblins is much smaller than the number of orcs, which is a result of the natural aggressivity of the Green Stranglers. The orcs are known to strangle smaller individuals, especially goblins.
The Green Stranglers are known to be one of the most aggressive of orc tribes. It's not rare that smaller tribes have conflicts or war with each other within the tribe of the Green Stranglers and further, the Green Stranglers often declare war on their neighbors.
