Biography

Overview

Before meeting Rondra, Talvin lived as a hunter in the mountains around the border between Ephea and Drakthirr. With the threat of the ogre terrorizing the lands around his hunting grounds, he made attempts to hunt it down. On his final hunt, he met Rondra, Gwenth, and Ker and together they slew the ogre. After some arguments with the three, Talvin eventually joined the group, forming 'The Divine Four' in 9729 b. BF. For 28 years, he stayed with the group, slaying orcs, and other monsters to ensure security for the Humans. In 9701, he left them and followed a call he sensed from the north. He moved to the icy mountains and the peninsula of the Nornurii, settling there and continuing his hermit life.
In 8990 b. BF, he was raised to the god of nature by King Secular. He received his current role as god of the hunt and the winter only in 8770 b. BF, afterMelandru was added to the pantheon as the goddess of nature.

Influence

Talvin is a so-called 'Free God', which means there are no official churches or temples dedicated to him. He is more like a patron for hunters or commoners who pray for a calm winter. Compared to the other Twelve-Gods, Talvin has a remarkably big influence in the north, especially for the Nornurii, some Dwarves, and sometimes even for giants.
