Secular
Secular is the son of Rondra and the first king of the Human Empire. His regency led the humans into a new era, focussing on inner stability, peace, and security. He established the belief of Rondra and initiated his ascension to the gods.
In 9014 b. BF, Secular had his first daughter Isabella with his wife Emanuela. 15 years later he had his first son Pritor and 2 years later his second son Magnus. All three of them were raised in royal circumstances, however, the Church of the Sun influenced Secular to proclaim, that not his daughter but his son will inherit the right of the throne. In 8990 b. BF, Secular created the rules of inheritance of Lion's throne. In the same year, he founded the Four Quarter Pantheon due to the people being relatively unsatisfied with the newly founded monotheism.
On the 19th of Gwenth 8817 b. BF, Secular died of old age, leaving the throne to his oldest son Pritor. He leaves behind his sword, which is nowadays known as the sword of kings and is only allowed to be wielded and carried by the ruler of the Human Empire. It's a symbol of power and inviolability.
Appearance
Secular is often depicted as a large human, about 1.92m (6'3'') with blonde hair and light skin. Despite his old age of 506 years, humans see him as a human who was blessed by the gods acquiring his long life.Abilities
Secular was a master of sword fighting and mounted combat. Before claiming the throne he fought in the second holy expedition against the orcs and was even promoted to a general. He was known to be an expert for strategic maneuvers and very prudent methods. His father insisted on Secular taking lessons for magic, but Secular did not really like handling magic.Biography
Secular was born on the 4th of Bea 9323 b. BF as the first child of Rondra and Turis. With that, Rondra eventually accepts his title of the ruler of humans, automatically making Secular a prince. Secular grew up in Lionstone in very safe circumstances, getting lessons taught by the best teachers of the Empire, even from students of Gruxva. Further, he showed a big interest in sword fighting and weapon mastery. Despite the concerns of his parents, he joined the army of humans at a very young age was later promoted to a general. He fought in the second holy expedition, leading a division of soldiers and knights. After the war, he wanted to join his father in hunting the Nameless, but Rondra refused and sent him back to Lionstone. Secular got further education in royal administration and leading a country, preparing him well to claim the throne. After Rondra died 9054 b. BF, Secular claimed the throne of humans and was officially crowned as the first king of the Human Kingdom on the 1st of Talvin 9053 b. BF. Secular supported the founding and efforts of the Church of the Sun, officially proclaiming Rondra's ascension to the gods. Opposite to his father, he did not follow an offensive war strategy against the orcs but was much more focused on securing the borders, guaranteeing inner security, and strengthening the bonds with their allies.In 9014 b.
