Turis

Turis is the goddess of family and friendship in the Pantheon of the Twelve-Gods. She met with Rondra in 9461 b. BF and was his first big love and later his wife and mother of his son Secular. She was added to the pantheon in 8801 b. Bf as the first female goddess by King Magnus.

Appearance

Turis is usually depicted as a young or middle-aged human woman with brown hair. Despite her being Rondra's wife and therefore the first official queen of humans, she wears rather plain and simple clothes. Often she is surrounded by her spirit animals duck and peacock. Her most common character traits are respected, guarding, joyfully, but also power and wisdom.

Biography

Overview

Turis was born as a blessed human with an extended lifespan in around 9500 b. BF. The actual circumstances of Rondra's and Turis' meeting in 9461 b. BF aren't clear. Rondra mentioned a lot about his meetings with Turis, however, the church of the sun shortened these stories, seeing them as not relevant or unworthy for a powerful deity like Rondra. Turis and Rondra married one year later in 9460 b. BF and in 9323 b. BF Turis gave birth to Secular, Rondra's son and heir. She spent most of her time in Lionstone, managing the household of the castle and caring for her son. It is said, that Turis had quite an unexpectedly skillful handle on politics. She was respected and honored by many dukes and landlords and probably one of the main reasons for the strong bond between the different human provinces and cities.
After Rondra died 9054 b. BF, she left the royal business to her son, but still supported him with difficult tasks. Living the life of a widow, she took especially good care of her deceased husband's grave and died just a few seconds later on the 7th of Gruxva 9037 b. BF.

Influence

Turis straddles in between the Free Gods and the three churches. She is the patron for all families and friends, however, due to many overlapping aspects with Saytho, the church of Saytho is sometimes also called Chruch of Turis. Couples often ask for Turis' blessings to protect their marriage and keep their bond until death.
