Monyarda, Queen Siobhan Laeu-Sol Kascarda (a.k.a. The Rend Lioness, Queen of Sonora, the Tarnish Queen,)
Siobhan Kascarda-Sonora is the ex-Monyarda of the Rend and the current Queen of the Kingdom of Sonora. A master warrior and the once-leader of the unified Eastern Rend, she headed the united Rend Clans during the conflict known as the War for the Eastern Rend, and met Sonoran King Dalen on the field in open one-on-one combat. Sadly, she was defeated, but the king proposed that they marry rather than continue the cycle of needless death and war. Thusly, she became the Queen of the Sonoran Lands, but often feels more like a hostage, kept so her land could remain alive under the thumb of the Nation of the Silver Crown.

Personal history
Siobhan was born in the Eastern Rend to Clan Kascarda, and eventually rose up through dedication and sometimes bloodshed to become the Monyarda of the Rend, the Rendfolk's equivalent to a unified ruler who formed an alliance between most of the Eastern Clans.
While in this position, she fought against Dalen Sonora and the Sonoran Kingdom, due to their incursion on the lands of the Rend which were motivated by the fear of a unified Rend pushing through onto the Lands of the Silver Crown. The War lasted years, fought across all of Albion from the Alderwood to Carrion Cross, drawing in all of the other kingdoms to choose sides and put their stakes in the war. Ultimately it came down to a one-on-one fight between Siobhan and the king himself, lasting all of three hours until eventually, the king took the Monyarda down.
But rather than end the war by taking her head, Dalen sought for peace between the two lands and to end the cycle of death and killing, and extended the hand of marriage to the queen as a way to unify their lands without a takeover. Wishing for the safety of her people, and knowing they would not survive the war and that the alliance would dissolve without her, Siobhan submitted and married Dalen, become the Queen of the Sonoran Lands.
Several conditions were made to accommodate her cultural beliefs, one of which is an annual pilgrimage back to the lands of the Rend, where she may spend her days with her many loves in the clans and see her children, born out of wedlock to her lovers in the east. As such, she is to never return to the capital with child, so as to keep secret the arrangement between King and Queen.
