Kubaer

Kubaer, called Ku'bar in ancient texts, is a nation of loosely allied farming communities. To call it a nation, however, is something of an overstatement. There is little in the way of an organized government. At best the communities gather on occasion to discuss crops and trade routes, working together to keep their valley home fruitful for each other. Kubaer is located in the Axia Valley of western Slavyum, just east of the Plashin Range on the major continent of Ethae.

Kubaer was once part of that the Republic of Lakorth, along with Haithfia to their south. The two regions combined into what the Republic called the Ninth Provence. When the Republic declined, the Haitha established their own small republic, abandoning the war-torn Axia Valley region. Over time, with more stability, especially during the reign of the United Kingdoms of Novyum, the Axa of the valley established their council and Kubaer was born. Kubaer, or rather the ancient word Ku'bar, is an old Slava term meaning 'tranquil valley'. Though, most do not remember the meaning of this term outside of scholastic circles.
