Abjurers are Wizard that focus their studies of the Anon (Magic) and its ability to protection and defend. Though the most famous practice of abjurers is the creations of shields of various protections, their field of study expands into abilities to negate or counter harmful magic or creatures of unnatural origin. Particularly powerful abjuration wizards have even been known to create areas where magic does not work.

Abjurers are, by far, the most common wizards encountered across Ethae in military forces. This is in part due to the nature of this school of magic, and many potential students of the craft are sponsored to attend a college in exchange for military service after graduation.

Abjuration colleges are common in the large cities of Ethae. The largest and most famous is Dover College on an island off the east coast of the Nopum Peninsula. It is also the one abjuration college that does not admit students sponsored by military patrons.
