Mehrdat
Saint Mehrdat - Mihrdatis (a.k.a. Mehr)
Mehrdat is a pivotal figure in the realm of Albanos and according to some, the incarnation of Belh. He is rarely a protagonist, but is almost always somewhat involved in large events.
He along with Old Nick, Armelle, Lambscress, and others, is one of Sheena's disciples. He is also the legal sibling of Armelle, for whom he served as a body double in childhood. Born to the Myacoris people of Eskern, to a radical sect called the Kannerenoz, Mehrdat would later become closely affiliated with the Mothfolk and Gannwyll Gwydd.
Aafter becoming Deathless, Mehrdat moved North, attaining Sainthood after the Odonata declared him to be Bel and allowed him to be the Patron Saint of their city-state Beltane. Due to this he is associated heavily with the Mothfolk alongside the Odonata.
He serves as a mentor to a number of major figures in Albanos, including Ashur Nemoralis, as well as the immortal priestess Gisla, and Rianu, Princess of the Odonata. He has a blood feud with Armelle, something which resulted in Armelle becoming an Aliruna and Mehrdat too becoming death-resistant, though the circumstances of how are not fully understood.
Sometimes he is known as "the sun who casts shadows on graves".
