Myacoris
The Myacoris are a peoples believed to have been the survivors of the Great Garbage Flood. They make their clothes out of material and textile waste but bleach everything white. Their clothes are very hot in the summer. They are a strictly matriarchal society who worship the deity Nod.
They live in hillforts with walls built out of plastic and resin fused together, each ruled by a warrior queen who is responsible for the farming class.
The farming class mostly farm grains made from cockspur grass and orache, as well as an array of beans. They keep bulls and aurochs, but rarely eat other meat. They are scavengers and make clothes and jewelry out of animal bones as well.
The Myacoris have the most advanced medical and sanitation practices in the entire land, due to the harsh living environment they have lived in. It is sometimes used as a place of spiritual healing from miasma and the outside world, and they are seen as somewhat of an oddity.
The area they inhabit is sometimes talked about as being the ‘graveyard of Empires’ as it has been absorbed into several different states but never fully been conquered. Initially the Myacoris of Pestilentia were under the protection of the Hanoez empire, to which they are more culturally similar. The Belenakos eventually annexed Pestilentia and demanded tributes. Hanoez could not afford to protect them and so the Papess negotiated to secure control over their technology, a peace treaty. They would break ties with the Belenakos tribes who rule Lodonesia when they killed Fflur, and their main religion and guild Temple of Formaldehyde would be excommunicated.
As they inhabit the areas directly north of the Koaneg Eskern they are often at the mercy of whoever is ruling it at the time.
