Qualifications

Previously, the Rasery Family decided the next heir to the throne by bloodline and choosing the most promising of the next generation. Currently under the new leadership of Izel Whitekeep, there is not an announced plan of moving the lineage forward. Some have claimed that the passing of the new War King will cause a collapse of the role and a small power vacuum in the geopolitical theatre.

Requirements

Previously, the Rasery Family had a strict requirement of being from the main family and strongest of the siblings to take the throne. The passing of the throne from the family to Izel Whitekeep was through the efforts of a prolonged civil war. The position was taken by force at this time.

Duties

The duties are listed below for the throne:

  Lead the joint military of Akun.

  Act as the opposite balance to the Council of Nau.

  Listen to the pleas of the people.

  Ensure the safety of the paths, roads, and public stations outside of City-States & Towns and especially in unclaimed territories.

  Broker prosperity for the nation as a whole.

Benefits

The throne is given a castle with mote within the City-State of Aku as their personal chambers.

  Access to the leadership of the Medics of Ginnir.

  Not having to pay taxes.

  Access to one of the secure armories in the country, the Rila Guard.

Cultural Significance

The role of the Ruler of Akun is to be the one who listens to the needs of the people. They are the leadership that is accessible to the masses.

Previously, the role of the Ruler was that of an absolute leader and one that was prone to terrorize people.
