Dragonborn
The Dragonborn of Aigusyl are proud, draconic humanoids who carry the blood of true dragons within their veins. Towering in stature with scaled skin that ranges in hue from shimmering metallics to deep chromatics and rare elemental tones, dragonborn are imposing figures marked by heritage and legacy. They possess strong, angular features, piercing eyes that gleam like gemstones, and powerful tails and claws—remnants of their draconic ancestors. Some claim direct lineage from the Dragon Gods of Magic themselves, though most have more distant, ancestral ties.
Dragonborn culture places great emphasis on honor, strength, and self-mastery. Many live by personal codes or ancient oaths, seeing life as a path toward excellence—be it martial, magical, or spiritual. While not all dragonborn follow the gods, many revere the Dragon Gods of Magic: Eorai, Ieldrus, Zyna, and Morram, often choosing one as a guide depending on personal alignment or philosophy. Their breath weapons, a gift of their draconic blood, are seen not only as tools of defense or war but sacred expressions of their identity and power.
Communities of dragonborn are often found near ancient mountains, volcanic ridges, or deep within arcane nexuses—places that echo with the energy of old dragons and primal magic. In Amoxis, they sometimes serve as wardens of forgotten sites, guardians of lost lore, or wandering pilgrims seeking meaning in the wake of The Fracture War. Many act as mercenaries, knights, or scholars in major cities like Welkis and Myrrhold, though prejudice from more fearful races still lingers in certain corners of the world.
Each dragonborn carries the legacy of dragons—not only in blood, but in duty. Whether rising to become paragons of nobility or sinking into tyranny, they are beings shaped by destiny and the ever-burning fire of draconic will.
