House of Perdition

The House of Perdition is the stronghold of the Orders of Purity, standing at the southern vertex of the citadel in Empty Tomb. The stronghold was established by the House {Orc} of the same name to be the resting place of the Accursed Dead, the Orcs who stayed true to the Dark Lords. A great vault beneath the House is a sinister mirror to the vast, ancestral crypts of the Great Ossuary.
The House is built with the plan of a four point star, an unusual pattern for orc architecture, emphasising immediate concerns (four points representing the cardinal directions and thus the immediate, temporal world over the continuity of past, present and future which informs the more usual trinitarian architecture.) Each point, or quarter, belongs to one of the orders, housing their central training, fabrication and administrative facilities and archives, as well as shared domestic facilities. The Order of the Shadowed Path holds the south quarter and the Order of Black Glass the east, facing the Black Desert. The Order of the Beast holds the west quarter, and the Order of the Serpent the north, which points towards the border with the Ophionic Empire.
The Order of Spirits' Bane holds the central hub of the fortress, and thus controls access to the vault. The hub also houses the meeting chambers of the Council of the Orders.
