Gods of Orden

The Gods of Orden are aspects of the Old Gods worshipped by the Giants. While some speculate that they are Young Gods masquerading as messengers from the now-impossibly distant prehistoric deities of Aiaos, the giants - who consider themselves the heirs of the semi-divine Titans and as such regard the Young Gods as being somewhat beneath them - insist that only the Old Gods are worthy of their worship. Since the Old Gods have long since moved beyond the reach of Aiaosian congregations, they never channel the divine power of their deities, instead wielding their rune magic with a spiritual zeal and addressing their reverence to these five intercessory aspects.   In a similar manner, the Giant-Kin worship the Urii, or Emanations of Orden. This quintet of Young Gods act as intercessors between the giant-kin and the Gods of Orden, whose direct worship is forbidden to them. Unlike the cults of Orden, clerics of the Urii can call upon divine magic.

The final orden has no Old God and no patron Emanation; no subordinate Urias. Instead, the Hill Giants worship the titan twins Gog Stonemason and Magog Hallfounder. Although there is some debate as to whether the twins ever achieved true divinity, they are worshipped as equals of the Urii, both by the Hill Giants and by many ogres and jotnar. Their divine purview is community, endurance and survival.
