Elder Races
Four of the Mortal Lineages do not trace their creation to the Young Gods.
The Giants insist that they are the heirs and inheritors of the Titans, although legends suggest that the bipedal form was a rarity among Titans, and scholars outside of giant society believe that the giants were creations of the Titans - like the Eladrin - and not their descendents. The giants, on the rare occasion this is raised by someone they deem worthy of meeting them in debate, point out that the sky cities of Titanis were clearly created for occupants of bipedal form and great stature, claiming therefore that there must have been a meaningful population of Titans of such nature.
As part of their assumed legacy, giant society is based on the rigid social hierarchy of The Orden. They also preserve all they can of the original, proto-Titanic language, the words and runes of which have intrinsic Magic.
The first Dragons were the Primordials, cosmic powers of godlike nature. Acting as a group, the Primordial Dragons created the first Elder Wyrms, who in turn created a second generation, but after that were born the mortal dragons. Incredibly puissant and long-lived as the dragons were, they were the first beings to be put into the World with a finite span of life, and with The Creation of the first of their number, the Primordials created time itself.
Ironically, the mortal dragons alone survived the monstrous destruction of the Draconic schism and resulting Cataclysm, a conflict between the Primordial which left four of their number slain, and provoked the greatest of them, Tempus, to sublime his being into the Web of Fate, a barrier which prevented direct divine action on Aiaos. The Web also served to separate the two surviving combatants, Arabast and Malcidis.
During the Colossus War, the Primordals also created the dragon born, a fusion of draconic traits and eladrinate form. They created a legion of these new creatures to serve under the leadership of each first generation Elder Wynn, and after the war the Legions became the metallic, chromatic and geodic clades which still dominate their society.
Finally, the featherfolk were created by the Titans using borrowed divine power. They were forged during the war to act as messengers. With the death of the last known titans at the end of the war, they became listless and lost, before finding purpose from the Young Gods.
