Dead God

The minor gods of Agrophon are tied to the continent; they aren't as high above mortals as the global gods. Because of this, it's possible for them to die. If a god is silenced almost in entirety, they become a Dead God, existing only in written works, artists' portrayals, and the memories of other gods. Once this happens, the deity can never become what they once were, only a figment pieced together from recovered historical data. Some dead gods take on new lives under different names; others are absorbed into more popular gods, who take on their traits and history; still others remain proudly as Dead Gods, walking memorials of their lost followers.

Death

Deities who step down to earth are scarce, and deities who are outmatched by mortals are even scarcer, but they can always come back. There are only a few ways a god can fall completely off the continent.
