Ikcho
Demographics
Operating on feudalistic ideas, the tundra has a large separation among its people based on noble classes,high-skilled workers/clergy, and peasantry. Most dragonkin belong to noble classes, while a few humans and gith have managed to become a part of this class. Clergymen are almost nonexistent within the tundra, but a few places with them still exist and are respected by the nobility. Peasants or low-skilled workers are at the bottom, and this consists of humans,half-elves,gnomes,dwarfs,and some gith.
Government
The governing bodies of the tundra believe in the decentralization of power; they do not wish to become the vile bog in any way. While an emperor or empress oversees the larger picture for the country (such as the military) and assists in appointing new lords or ladies within the country to own land, almost all of the tasks are handled by the lord or lady who rules over that particular area. Cities, towns, and villages within the tundra are broken up into many sections, and a lord or lady who owns that land oversees that section. The Mikado, Seto, oversees Ikcho, taking on the role of emperor within the city and ensuring Yun's wishes are being followed.

History
Built a few decades after Zoaging, one of the main reasons the city was built was to provide a small amount of separation between the ninja and samurai clans. While they share many of the same beliefs, they do have a few large disagreements in the way they conduct themselves. Wishing to maintain the peace between his two strongest warrior clans, Shau Fe commissioned the city to be built to support his growing population of ninja clans. Doing so turned out to be extremely beneficial, as both clans prospered greatly from this decision and grew to respect one another more than they previously had. Shau Fe entrusted the land to one of his most loyal friends, Yao Kato. Ever since then, the city has been under the control of the Kato family, along with the lords and ladies who own the land within and around the city. Just as Zoaging was devastated by the Reckoning, so was Ikcho. While in the open, Seto seems to support Yun, but many have doubts about where his true loyalty lies.
Tourism
Outsiders are very welcome in Ikcho. Many believe others showing interest in traveling to their home is a great sign of respect, and that respect needs to be repaid. Citizens do what they can to show hospitality to all those who venture here, and they always try to learn whatever they can from outsider
Architecture
Heavy materials like stone, mortar, and clay were abandoned as building elements, with simple wooden walls, floors, and partitions becoming prevalent. Native species like cedar were popular as an interior finish because of their prominent grain, while pine and larch were common for structural uses. Brick roofing tiles and a type of cypress called hinoki were used for roofs. It was sometime during this period that the hidden roof, a uniquely Japanese solution to roof drainage problems, was adopted. The increasing size of buildings in the capital led to an architecture reliant on columns regularly spaced in accordance with the ken, a traditional measure of both size and proportion. The style was characterized by symmetrical buildings placed as arms that defined an inner garden. This garden then used borrowed scenery to seemingly blend with the wider landscape.
Geography
For most of the year, the tundra is a cold, frozen landscape. The tundra has a short growing season, followed by harsh conditions, and the plants and animals in the region need special adaptations to survive. The Tundra regions typically get less than 10 inches of precipitation annually, which means they are also considered deserts. They have long, cold winters with high winds and average temperatures below freezing for six to ten months of the year. On average, only ten to fourteen weeks of the year have sufficiently warm temperatures and long days for plant growth. The soil in the tundra is largely permafrost, or soil that remains frozen year-round, leaving only a thin surface layer of thawed soil in the summer for plant roots to grow in. Tundra soil is also scarce in many of the nutrients that plants need to grow. These conditions lead to one of the tundra's most distinct features: They are largely treeless. Instead, the tundra has patchy, low-to-ground vegetation consisting of small shrubs, grasses, mosses, sedges, and lichens, all of which are better adapted to withstand tundra conditions.
