Military: Battle
Typhon, a Remnant, fights fellow Remnant Raymond Grant and his eldest son Russell.
A ship arrives onto a river dock. Knightly passengers exit from the ship. They are faced by Earnestian soldiers who tell them to explain their purpose or be killed. A final passenger hops off the massive ship. He lands on his feet with a force strong enough to imprint the ground below. Wearing nothing but burgundy pants and a necklace with a miniature dagger adorning it, he asks to face the Lord of Earnest himself. One of the soldiers recognizes it as an Emblem, the mark of a Calamity.
After tearing though the rank-and-file, the Remnant rests with his crew in a small valley, drinking and partying as they wait for the Lord to show himself. A rumbling is felt by everyone. The Remnant is up on his feet. Drawing a sword from his power over thunder, he readies himself. A loud noise rings in his ears as a shadowy figure descends at immense speeds.
The Remnant clashes with this figure. He's a man. Clearly much more powerful than any soldier he's faced. His size could rival a bear's, and his dark brown hair and piercing eyes further that resemblance. His face is scarred and his right arm is made of stone. The scarred man manages to pressure the Remnant with his brute strength and ferocity, but the Remnant realizes that he isn't who he's looking for. He regains his bearings and soundly defeats his adversary who is whisked away in a plume of stone and dust.
Rumbling is heard behind the Remnant. He grins to himself. Turning around, he sees a massive stone pillar that seems to keep growing. A man stands atop it. This is the one, the Remnant thinks to himself. The Lord stays silent as a massive cone is fired from the pillar. The Remnant splits it in half with one slash and the two face each other. The two are evenly matched, with neither one capable of gaining the upper hand. The Remnant summons a torrent of thunder and infuses it into his sword while the Lord lunges at him with astonishing speed. Their clash is so devastating that it creates powerful shockwave. Anything or anyone within the epicenter is shredded into nothing, The shockwave extends for nearly a dozen miles, causing debris to fly at hundreds of miles per hour. The Remnant is flung back thousands of feet, colliding with trees, buildings, and even people. He gains his footing as he comes to a stop and soon after falls onto one knee, satisfied with the battle. The Lord is knocked into a mountain. He coughs once with blood spilling. A grin appears on his face.
