A long, long time ago, during the Age of War, there was a Smeltspark scout, who has seen his share of battlefields. He got really tired, but as he was very diligent and loyal to his cause, he continued.
During one of his scouting missions, he started to climb a mountain to get a better view. But as he was walking down, the metal that his legs were made out of finally gave out. While falling, his pelvis and arms also broke off. He was stuck.
Days passed and no other soldier found him.
Surprisingly, he started to feel relaxed. He didn't have to go anywhere, he didn't have to fight. He could just sit there and watch the landscape before him.
Days turned to months and months turned to years. Parts of his body were covered by moss.
One day, someone found him. It was a young man, an enthusiast for climbing. They talked about the world, how it changed. Apparently, a century has passed since he fell. But he didn't miss the time he has lost. Contrary, he has found enlightenment in his solitude. As the climber was leaving, he asked him to tell others about him, as he would like to talk with more people.
As he had more and more conversations, he gained more and more knowledge. Soon, his advices were seeked out by more and more people, from simple men seeking related to their love life, to kings, searching for the best outcome for their kingdoms.
He became a sage covered with moss.

Many call him a sage, and he doesn't oppose that. Contrary, it amuses him.
