Iron Harbor
Once known as East Boston, Iron Harbor has become the industrial and maritime powerhouse of Neo-Boston, where the fusion of heavy industry and shipping drives the city’s corporate economy. Towering refineries and automated shipping yards dominate the skyline, while massive freighters and submersible mining rigs cycle through the high-security waterfront docks, controlled by NovaGen and other megacorporations. The air is thick with the scent of burning fuel, ocean brine, and metallic dust, a reminder of the ceaseless production that keeps the city's corporate elite at the top.
The district’s most notorious landmark is Ironclad Terminal, Neo-Boston’s largest shipping and logistics hub, funneling corporate imports and exports under the ever-watchful eye of CorSec security patrols. The streets of Iron Harbor never sleep, with autonomous cargo drones, mechanized dockworkers, and AI-guided cranes loading and unloading shipments bound for the highest bidders. While NovaGen dominates much of Neo-Boston’s industrial sector, their aurorium refineries are located in The Tides, making Iron Harbor primarily a distribution and shipping hub for raw materials and high-value exports.
Despite corporate control, underground economies thrive in the shadows of the docks. Smugglers and rogue engineers run illicit modification shops, repurposing stolen cargo into black-market cyberware. The Iron Rats, a loose network of independent laborers and cybernetic salvagers, push back against the megacorp chokehold, determined to carve out a piece of the industry for themselves. In Iron Harbor, you either own the machine, work for it, or find a way to steal from it.
